Northern Pacific No. 1364

Built by Baldwin in 1902, Northern Pacific No. 1364 served the railroad for more than 50 years before being retired and eventually placed on display. After spending years in Point Defiance Park and later Mineral, Washington, the locomotive arrived in Toppenish on June 19, 1994. Museum volunteers soon began the long process of restoring the locomotive, working through decades of deterioration and tackling everything from exterior repairs to extensive boiler work. After more than three decades of dedication, No. 1364 returned to steam on January 1, 2026, and moved under its own power for the first time in 73 years on February 21, 2026.
